Enterprise MRV Data Governance Middleware
Carbonus MRV Hub is an enterprise-grade product developed and provided by Foote Technology. It is designed for on-premise or private-cloud deployment, enabling organizations to manage, standardize, and govern their climate and carbon-related data in a structured and auditable manner.
The Hub collects emissions and energy data from enterprise IoT systems and operational infrastructures—primarily covering Scope 1 and Scope 2—and integrates relevant data from internal systems and partners to support Scope 2 and Scope 3 accounting. All data is transformed into formats aligned with CDIS standards and stored in enterprise-grade data environments, providing a reliable foundation for downstream MRV processes.
Beyond data ingestion, Carbonus MRV Hub supports MRV reporting, emissions and energy analysis for different regulatory and business objectives, and standardized read-only data interfaces. These interfaces enable verification, reporting, and financial applications without exposing sensitive raw data.
Role in the Carbonus Protocol Ecosystem
Carbonus MRV Hub serves as a reference implementation of enterprise-level middleware within the Carbonus Protocol ecosystem. It enables organizations to anchor verified data to the Carbonus MRV Layer and to participate in cross-organizational MRV workflows through permissioned blockchain channels.
While officially developed by Foote Technology, the Hub is not intended to be the only implementation of its kind. Other vendors and solution providers are encouraged to develop alternative or specialized middleware products based on the open protocol specifications, using different technical approaches or commercial models.
Reference Implementation, Not Exclusive Infrastructure
Carbonus MRV Hub is provided as a reference implementation to demonstrate feasibility, interoperability, and best practices. Its role is to lower adoption barriers and accelerate ecosystem formation—not to establish technical or commercial exclusivity.
