About Us

Foote Technology Limited is a Hong Kong–founded digital infrastructure company focused on climate technology and climate finance. We support enterprises, financial institutions, regulators, and ecosystem partners worldwide in advancing credible and long-term pathways toward a low-carbon transition.

Our work is grounded in scientific rigor, data integrity, and long-term responsibility. We believe that meaningful climate action must be built on objective, verifiable data—data that can be trusted across organizations, understood by financial systems, and sustained over time as a foundation for real economic and environmental value.

Foote did not set out to own climate infrastructure, nor to compete for short-term advantage. We believe that credible climate action requires shared rules, trusted data, and institutions designed to outlast any single organization. For this reason, we focus on building open, neutral, and verifiable foundations — even where this means giving up proprietary control or immediate commercial gain.

As an early initiator and contributor, our role is to help make such infrastructure possible, to steward its integrity in its early stages, and to step back as broader participation takes shape. We see trust not as a marketing outcome, but as something earned through restraint, transparency, and long-term responsibility.

The name Foote pays tribute to Eunice Newton Foote, a nineteenth-century independent scientist whose pioneering research on the greenhouse effect was not fully recognized in her time. Despite the absence of institutional support, she remained committed to evidence-based reasoning and scientific integrity. Inspired by her perseverance and restraint, Foote Technology continues to advance climate action through reliable data, careful collaboration, and a long-term perspective.
